General terms and conditions:

The vehicle can only be rented to individuals of 21 years of age and up to 75 years of age, who have owned a driver's license for no less than 2 years and a valid passport or ID card; The client takes the vehicle over after signing a rental agreement. By signing the agreement, the customer confirms that the vehicle and all equipment specified in this contract are in good condition; The customer is obliged to return the vehicle within the specified deadline stated in the contract; If the customer wishes to extend the lease, he must notify ALFA RENT 2 days in advance. For a delayed return of the vehicle of more than 1 hour, the customer will be charged as though the vehicle was rented for extra 24 hours. For a delayed return of the vehicle with no prior notice, the customer is considered to have illegally seized the vehicle for he/she will face prosecution and initiation of Criminal procedure; If the client wants to return the vehicle at a different location than the pick-up location there is a fee of 50EUR if the drop-off location is Bitola or Ohrid and for any other location the price for this service is given by an authorized person at ALFA RENT office; The customer is obliged to take care of the vehicle and to regularly check the engine oil level, the coolant fluid level, the vehicle battery, and the correct tire pressure; Repair or replacement of vehicle parts may only be carried out at authorized service centers with prior approval of ALFA RENT; In case of any change of the vehicle, the customer must contact an authorized person at the ALFA RENT office; The customer is solely responsible for any traffic offense during the lease. If the contract is terminated early by the client, the money paid by the client will not be returned.

Prohibited Use of the vehicle:

Prohibited uses of the following, unless granted permission by ALFA RENT, shall be considered prohibited uses of the Vehicle:

• Driving the vehicle by anyone without first obtaining ALFA RENT written consent;
• By anyone who is not a qualified and licensed driver;
• To carry individuals or property for hire, livery, On-Demand service, or Transportation Network Company;
• To propel or tow any vehicle, trailer or other object;
• In any race, test or contest;
• For any illegal purpose or in the commission of a crime;
• To instruct an unlicensed person to operate the vehicle;
• If the vehicle is obtained from ALFA RENT by fraud or misrepresentation;
• To carry persons other than in the passenger compartment of the Vehicle;
• Loading the vehicle beyond its rated capacity;
• While under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants such as drugs or narcotics or under any other physical or mental impairment which adversely affects the driver’s ability to operate the Vehicle;
• Intentionally causing damage to or loss of the Vehicle;
• On other than a paved road or graded private road or driveway;
• In an unsafe, reckless, grossly negligent, or wanton manner.
• Younger than the minimum and the maximum age outlined in this agreement.

Liability of the Lessee for Damage:

The Lessee is responsible for all damage to the vehicle, its parts, and its accessories not recognized under the terms and conditions of Casco Insurance. The lessee is liable for any damage caused to the vehicle, its parts, and its accessories as a result of improper use. The lessee shall also be liable for an unauthorized replacement of parts or equipment of the vehicle or the replacement of new parts with old or non-original parts. The Lessee is obliged to settle any damage sustained outside the specified conditions upon getting the receipt by ALFA RENT. The customer is also responsible for the amount of damage caused to the vehicle and with the vehicle during the lease, in case the insurance does not cover it for any reason. If the customer damages the vehicle and towing is required, the client must cover the amount and if the replacement vehicle is needed, ALFA RENT has the right to hold a 1000 Euro deposit for a replacement vehicle. If the vehicle itself is not in driving condition, then ALFA RENT A CAR will replace it with a replacement vehicle at its own expense. All vehicles are equipped with a set of documents and a key, in case they are lost, the customer is obliged to pay the costs according to the following price list:

• Losing of traffic license - 100 EUR;

• Losing of the key - 250 EUR;
• Losing of green card - 30 EUR;
• Loosing of a spare tire – 150 EUR, snow chains – 30 EUR, tire repair kit – 70 EUR (if there are any at the pick-up time).

Deposit:

The customer leaves a deposit at the beginning of the rental period and its amount is 500 EUR plus 18% VAT on all vehicles. The deposit may be used to cover or make up for any damages that the insurance does not cover. The deposit will be refunded when the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was handed over to the customer.

Fuel:

The vehicle has to be returned with at least the same amount of fuel as when received. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than how it was received, the client will pay the company a refuel service charge per liter. The cost of this service is the current market price per litter of the gas plus 1 EUR for a litter of gas. The refueling service charge will be determined by estimating the difference in fuel level shown on the fuel gauge from the time Vehicle is rented to the time it is returned. The client shall not receive a refund or credit if the Vehicle is returned with more fuel than how it was received.

The vehicle insurance covers:

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): over 500 Euro (no tax included), meaning that if damage above 500 Euro is done, the customer must pay 500 Euro and the insurance pays the rest. Damage up to 500 Euro is paid by the client. Theft waiver (TW): over 500 Euro-Third party liability insurance: Includes 18% VAT.

The vehicle insurance does not cover:

Damage caused by driver negligence or an unknown perpetrator to the undercarriage of the vehicle, the transmission, the tires, the rear-view mirrors, the vehicle interior, and the windscreen. Damage is done by an unauthorized driver. Engine damage caused by lack of engine oil, refueling of wrong fuel, or driver negligence. Damage caused by driving at an excessive speed than regulated on highways

Full insurance:

For 10-20 EUR per day depending on the type of vehicle, the client can get full insurance that includes compensation for any damage, including theft protection as well. Full insurance does not cover: damage caused by driving at an excessive speed than regulated on highways, damage to the interior of the vehicle, the undercarriage, regulate, the windshield and the tires (tire and windshield insurance costs additional 5 EUR per day, for both 10 EUR per day) Full insurance is only available for rental periods longer than 7 days. When a client purchases a full insurance the deposit is 250EUR and can be only used for damages on the tires and windshield (if tire and windshield insurance is not purchased) and for filling the gas tank (if the vehicle is returned with less fuel than how it was received).

Damage insurance is not valid in the following cases:

If the vehicle is driven by a driver who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, if there is an accident and there is no police record, if the Lessee allows the vehicle to be driven by a person who is not authorized in the contract or if the person does not have a driver's license, if the vehicle's tires or windshield is damaged (if the client hasn’t purchased tire and windshield insurance), if the Lessee deliberately damages the exterior or the interior of the vehicle.

Theft insurance is not valid in the following cases:

If the vehicle is left unlocked and if the vehicle is left with its documents and key inside.

Smoking and excessive dirt:

in case any customer has smoked in the vehicle, the customer will be charged a fine of 100 Euro. If the interior of the vehicle is tainted (spots or stains on the seat, etc.), the customer will be charged 30 Euro for a cleaning fee. If the vehicle is returned in a state of excessive filthiness, the customer will be charged 10 euros for a cleaning fee. The client declares that they voluntarily allow us to have a copy of their travel documents.
